Product Description

CNC-I-M (Marine Model)

The CNC-I is designed to interface with digital switching and control platforms such as Garmin®, CZone®, and similar systems, while also supporting standalone analog control when network integration is not required. The interface is suitable for both marine and land-based applications, including vessels, vehicles, and fixed installations. The marine (-M) version features conformal-coated electronics for use in high-humidity, salt-air, and corrosive environments, while the land (-L) version is intended for dry, terrestrial installations where marine protection is not required. Auxiliary switches may be provided as secondary or alternate activation points independent of the primary control panel, allowing the air-conditioning system to be enabled from multiple locations using sealed or application-appropriate switches. This supports operational redundancy and control flexibility for patrol boats, commercial marine vessels, and land-based commercial or mission-critical platforms.
Temperature sensing is provided by the selected control panel or controller and outputs either 12 VDC or 24 VDC control signals, as specified by the system configuration. Auxiliary or redundant switch inputs are intended for system enable/disable and predefined operating modes only and do not provide closed-loop temperature regulation. Wired temperature sensor inputs are supported through compatible controllers to maintain stable environmental conditions across separate compartments or zones, including enclosed helm stations, crew areas, electronics rooms, or equipment compartments.
The CNC-I utilizes discrete constant-voltage control inputs, allowing integration with third-party control systems, similar systems, and commercially available thermostats that use equivalent control logic. This open control architecture allows integrators to implement redundant, location-independent control schemes tailored to the platform layout and operational requirements without reliance on proprietary or closed control platforms.

Input Assignments:

1. 24 Volts out + 500 mA max (optional to provide loop through power activation)
2. Input 12 Volts* + for continuous run evaporator blower
3. Input 12 Volts*+ for medium fan speed
4. Input 12 Volts* + for low fan speed
5. Input 12 Volts* + for compressor on / high fan speed
6. 24 Volts out - 500 mA max (optional to provide ground power activation)

*12 Volt or 24 Volt trigger activation must be decided when ordering. On some switching systems you may have 12 and 24 volt outputs.

This module works with 8-pin connectors and interfaces with all Cruise N Comfort HD, MES, and VES series units, excluding the VES Classic.

On VES series systems, an additional 3-pin connector is provided to connect directly to the evaporator blower controller mounted on the evaporator.

At this time, only one evaporator blower can be controlled by this module on dual-zone and MAXX systems with two evaporators. The second evaporator will include a separate control knob for blower speed adjustment.
